I experimented with several different layouts and changed the font and icon sizes to make it more consistent. This is not complete as I still need to figure out what information to put in the empty spaces. The margin is also still messed up as I decided to fix it in the end because it’s pretty easy to do so anyway.

Hi Tan,
This is a good improvement on your previous drafts. The first thing I notice is that there are two sections that are blank, I don’t know if the images didn’t load when you uploaded your poster or if you are planning on adding information there. The horizontal section at the bottom of the page is difficult to read because of the way it is oriented (I don’t know if that section was supposed to be in the blank spot on the right?). The margins have improved a lot, and since your draft is very good I wanted to maybe suggest a small detail. The margins between everything are very equal, but maybe creating a bigger margin between subsections would make them stand out more (ie the margins are the same between each subsection and within each subsection which kind of blurs everything together). Doing this or perhaps making the section titles slightly bigger/bolder to create more of a contrast could help differentiate the various sections (I can definitely make out the various sections, but I think it would be more understandable if you made them more clearly into different sections). For example, the Myth vs. Reality part seems to be a higher level because of the bigger text size however it appears to be within the “Reality of Palm Oil” section. This creates some confusion within the different levels. Another note on the levels, since you use the same font size for everything (except title and section titles) it’s hard to differentiate the different types of text. Perhaps using a different/smaller font for the descriptions and icon descriptions could make it easier on the eyes. Other than that this is a very good draft!

This is a great improvement! I do think that the icons and fonts look more consistent now. So here are some thoughts/ideas:
-Maybe in the first blank space that’s a great place to give some more context of what exactly palm oil is, the main countries where it is grown, and what plant(s) it comes from, etc. It might seem obvious, but I have no idea! Does it come from palm trees?
-Perhaps the subtitle under the main title, “The most used vegetable…”, can be a bit bigger? Because in terms of levels it’s smaller than some of the other subtitles elsewhere on the design
-Maybe you can find a way to rearrange things to make the graphs larger and easier to read? Because right now the axis of the graphs are illegible because it’s very small
-What is the section at the bottom that’s on it’s side? I’m not sure what it says, but if it’s nice to know information that could work for the sidebar space! Maybe you can put that in the sidebar space, move everything else down, and make room for the graphs to go more in the middle so that you can make them larger
-In general right now I think the design has a very logical flow, as it goes from talking about why it’s popular, to the growing demand, and then it moves onto other interesting facts. I would say that the next section, “the reality of palm oil” with the “myths and reality” chart is the most important, because it’s the “so what?” of the piece, where you debunk assumptions and then express that we should care about this because this issue because it’s harmful for the environment. So perhaps you could emphasize this section in some way? Maybe you can change the background color, or change the font color to something still legible and on theme but still distinctly different.
-Just an idea, but since you were just talking about how palm oil can actually be harmful for the environment, maybe one final wrap up section where it says “what you can do” or something might be nice to tell readers how they can combat this issue, like mentioning how they can try to avoid buying products made with palm oil and opting for more sustainable alternatives instead. I think that could be a nice way to close and inspire people to do something about the issue!
